[Ueno] 9 Metropolitan Gardens Autumn Leaves Stamp Rally 2026 Starts October 10 at Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Gardens and Other Sites
Overview
The "9 Metropolitan Gardens Autumn Leaves Stamp Rally 2026" will run from October 10 to December 6, 2026. Participants visit nine Tokyo metropolitan gardens and collect a stamp at each one. Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Gardens in Ikenohata, Ueno, is one of the participating sites.
In a stamp rally, visitors go to several sites in person and collect stamps along the way. Part of the appeal is that you get to enjoy the journey and the surrounding scenery, not only the destinations. As the "Autumn Leaves" in the event name suggests, the rally appears designed for the autumn outing season, inviting visitors to tour each garden's distinctive scenery.
Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Gardens is a metropolitan garden in 1-chome, Ikenohata, Taito-ku. It is known as a historic garden built as the residence of the Iwasaki family of the Mitsubishi zaibatsu. With its Western-style and Japanese-style houses set in landscaped grounds, it has long drawn many visitors. The stamp rally could give people a fresh chance to appreciate the gardens.
Because the rally covers nine metropolitan gardens, participants will visit other gardens as well as Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Gardens. With the event spanning several gardens, visitors are likely to be seen touring gardens across Tokyo during the period. The event runs from October 10 to December 6, covering the whole autumn foliage season.
Details not yet announced, such as fees and access, can be found on the official website.
