[Ueno] Ueno Zoku Natsu Matsuri Coming to Ueno from September 19!
Overview
The "Ueno Zoku Natsu Matsuri" has been announced for the Ueno area. The festival runs for five days over the Silver Week holidays, from Saturday, September 19 to Wednesday, September 23 (public holiday), 2026, at the Fountain Plaza in Ueno Park (Ueno Onshi Koen). Organized by UUUM Co., Ltd. and the Ueno Chuo-dori Shopping Association, it is a large-scale horror event and the first to be fully produced by popular video creator "Takku TV Radio."
The lineup has also been revealed. A diverse group of guests connected to horror will gather in Ueno, spanning ghost stories, urban legends, the occult, film, games, comedy, short dramas, DJing and more. Additional performers will be announced in due course.
Main Performers
The lineup includes producer Takku, along with Shuhei Shimada, Sequence Hayatomo, Yasuhiro Hayase and Makoto Kishimoto (Toshi Boys), Gandhi Yokosuka, Daiun Miki, Toshiyuki Tanaka, Yohei Hibiki, Tommy (Mizutamari Bond), Koyakky (Koyakky Studio), Silk Road (Fischer's), Tsumami Edamame, Norio Tsuruta, Toshikazu Nagae, Kotaro Terauchi (Fake Documentary Q), DJ Ichiro Yatsui and DJ YAHAGI. Performers are subject to change without notice.
Paid "Zoku Natsu Indoor Stage" Also Planned
In addition to the free outdoor stage, a paid "Zoku Natsu Indoor Stage" will offer a deeper dive into the world of horror, with solo performances and collaborative programs by the featured guests. The venue is expected to be a facility near Ueno Park and will be announced soon.
- September 22 (Tue, public holiday): 5 sessions, each with a storyteller: Gandhi Yokosuka, Takku, Shuhei Shimada, Yasuhiro Hayase (Toshi Boys) and Daiun Miki
- September 23 (Wed, public holiday): 4 sessions featuring Momoka Asahi, Ayako Shibayama and Sakura Fukatsu; Makoto Kishimoto (Toshi Boys) and Sequence Hayatomo; Takku and Tommy (Mizutamari Bond); and Gandhi Yokosuka, Yohei Hibiki and Yasu
- Tickets: 4,000 yen (tax included) per session

Costumes and Cosplay Welcome
Visitors are welcome to join in costume or cosplay. On the yagura (festival tower) stage in the Fountain Plaza, a "Horror BON Dance" will be held, where attendees can dance with yokai (Japanese monsters) to DJ sets. A dedicated changing room with a cloakroom will be available on site so visitors can change into full costume and makeup. Interactive horror experiences, limited-edition merchandise, food, booths and more are also planned.
