mesm Tokyo Holds "TOKYO WAV…", Its Second Collaboration with Tokyo National Museum

The Tokyo National Museum in Ueno, Tokyo, and mesm Tokyo have launched the second installment of their collaboration. The campaign's theme is a journey through Asia by way of color and flavor.

The Tokyo National Museum is Japan's oldest museum. It holds and displays cultural properties from Japan and other parts of Asia. It sits inside Ueno Park, draws many visitors from Japan and abroad, and is at the heart of the Ueno area. This is the second joint project between the museum and the hotel mesm Tokyo. Its theme is "A Journey Through Asia in Color and Flavor." The project appears to invite visitors to experience the cultures and histories of Asia through the senses, such as color and taste. The project name, "TOKYO WAV…," also reflects this concept.

Like the first installment, this second project pairs two very different kinds of organization: a museum and a hotel. The aim appears to be offering visitors new ways to see and experience art and culture. Ueno is home to many cultural institutions, including the Tokyo National Museum, the National Museum of Nature and Science, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. Collaborations between these institutions and with businesses help make the whole area more appealing and encourage people to explore it.
