[Ueno] Compact Select at ecute Ueno to Close at End of September

Aug 5, 2026 · Ueno Station

Compact Select ecute Ueno, a general goods store in ecute Ueno, has announced that it will close on September 30, 2026. A closing sale is also planned.

Located inside Ueno Station, the store has been a convenient stop for travelers and commuters. Ahead of the closure, discount sales on items in stock are expected to take place in stages, and more regulars will likely stop by in search of bargains.

No details have been announced yet about what will replace the store, and many are watching for news of a new tenant. For longtime fans, the closure is sad news.
