[Ueno] Erhu Player Zhang Bin in Concert on November 1 at the Former Tokyo Music School Concert Hall (Kyu-Sogakudo)
On November 1, 2026, professional erhu player Zhang Bin will perform at the Former Tokyo Music School Concert Hall (Kyu-Sogakudo) in Ueno.
The concert's theme is "Japan-China Friendship." Through the erhu, a traditional Chinese instrument, the performance aims to reflect on the ties between Japan and China. The performer, Zhang Bin, is a professional musician who specializes in the erhu, and there is much interest in what kind of music they will bring to this theme of Japan-China friendship.
The venue is the Former Tokyo Music School Concert Hall (Kyu-Sogakudo) in Ueno. It is a rare chance to hear live erhu music in the Ueno area, and a day to enjoy the sound of an instrument few people get to hear, played by a professional.
The concert takes place on November 1 only. If you plan to visit Ueno this autumn, consider stopping by the erhu concert at the Former Tokyo Music School Concert Hall (Kyu-Sogakudo).
